It all started when…

There was this party - you know, one of those friendly Texas Hill Country get-togethers, where you have a couple of beers and someone pulls out a guitar… and all of a sudden you’re ready to hit the road with your tunes, right? So, on this particular night, a bunch of us fun-loving friends were over at Steve’s and Gloria’s place having a belly-laughing good time; Steve grabbed his bass, Gloria and (founding member) Bruce were on guitars, and Gail got behind the drums. Somewhere in that first tuneful jam between the free-flowing beer and “we sound awesome”, Gloria, Steve, Gail, and Bruce kinda smiled. We’d all jammed together plenty of times before, but this felt different: we might just have something here.

Our good friends and singing galpals, Jamie & Laurel came on board to add more vocals, trumpet and percussion, and with Philip Graves on viola, has brought a whole new dimension to the band. Over the years, although we’ve played with other bandmates who moved on to other projects, the Ramblewoods’ nearly decade adventure continues, because there’s really nothing better than making and playing music with friends!
