Spring 2024:  Spring has sprung and we’re off to a good start with shows, private events and festivals booked through June!  We kicked off the spring season with a local, benefit concert followed by our debut at The Villa At Gruene. What a fun show and very cool venue!  BIG THANKS to all our RambleFans who came out to dance and support us.  We’ll be back at the Villa in May.  Check out our Happenings page for upcoming dates.  Of course, we can’t forget THE Eclipse! Everyone in the known universe is queuing up for the solar eclipse – we are too – and so excited to play a mid-day show on April 8th at Wimberley’s newest music venue, The Willow Lake Watering Hole & Mercantile.  And yes…we’ll be back at the Land and Sky Celebration, May 11th.  This annual event, for benefit of local conservation efforts, is featuring local curated crafts vendors and MORE music as The Adam Johnson Band joins the line-up this year.  We’re REALLY looking forward to this year’s event and hope you’ll join us. Get your tickets now and help support environmental conservation in Comal County.

The Ramblewoods musical journey continues, and we’re so thankful to all of you who continue to support our lil ole Hill Country band.  See you soon!

Winter 2023:  November was a great month for us, rolling out new songs during shows at “Live at Leaders Hill” house concert, and The RR12 Supper Club of Wimberley - first time for us at the Supper Club, but won’t be our last! In December, we played another new venue for us Hildee’s Dine-Inn, where we closed out the year on a blue-skied, chilly Sunday afternoon, doing what we love. Hope you enjoy the video we put together.

Thank you to all our RambleFriends, Fam and Fans for joining us on our musical journey. It’s been quite a year, but we’re ready for the next. Stay tuned! Check out our Happenings page or find our Events on social media for upcoming shows. See you all in 2024…Ramble On!

Fall 2023:  Texas summer was brutally hot this year, but we made good use of it by working on new tunes, writing new material, and rehearsing with the newest member of our band, Glenn Jackson! We’re very excited about Glenn joining us. He brings a background in classical guitar - and blues! Good combo, yes? We’ve been working on our new show, with LOTS of new tunes (some old favorites too), and we’re looking forward to bringing it!

We appreciate every one of you RambleGals and Guys. Our story and musical journey continues; we’re glad y’all are along for the ride…Stay tuned! Check out our Happenings page or find our Events on social media for upcoming shows.

Spring 2023:  Texas in the spring is great for playing outdoor venues and festivals we love, like the award-winning Savage’s Hill Country Bar - one of our faves! In April, we played a local “Hippie” folk fest that attracts quite a fun group of folks.  And in May, we had an extra-special show at the Land and Sky Celebration, a now annual event for benefit of local conservation efforts. Amazing weather, wonderful friends, and fans (old and new), a great way to close out our spring shows, and to say good-bye to our lead guitar player, Billy, who’s moving on.

We're taking a break for now to work on a new show and new songs in the Ramblewoods' style you’ve come to know and hopefully love. Thank you to all of you, our dedicated RambleGals and Guys, who have followed along with us so far on our Ramblewoods musical journey.   Wanna hear more? We’ll be back! So, stay tuned for what comes next. Check out our Happenings page or find our Events on social media. We love y'all. Ramble on!

January 2023: Happy New Year! We closed-out 2022 playing a Holiday showcase, benefiting Wimberley’s Crisis Bread Basket; a great Sunday afternoon filled with music & comedy, plus an opportunity to raise funds for a good cause. In December, we also found time to get back in the studio and record rhythm tracks for FOUR original tunes! We’ll be adding vocal tracks this month, and we’re super-excited to share these songs with you all. And yes! We’ll be playing those tunes live at our upcoming shows. We've booked several dates for 2023, and will be posting details real soon on our Happenings page. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2023…Ramble on!

Fall 2022: A VERY LONG summer finally gave way to a cool fall…in many ways! We were invited to kick-off the 2nd Annual Fischer Hall Musicians Jam, at the historic Fischer Dance Hall. Quite an honor to be among some amazing fellow musicians, and to play to a packed house of nearly 400! We made new friends and fans too and some great connections to venues throughout the area. Stay tuned to updates about shows for ‘22 and ‘23, including an upcoming Holiday music and comedy show where The Ramblewoods are one of the featured acts. Ramble on!

SUMMER 2022: In a word, this summer has been HOT! But that didn’t stop us from bringing our tunes to local area outdoor music venues. We kicked off May with a show at the Guadalupe Brewing Company - a new venue for us in New Braunfels - and yes; we’ll be back in October! We wrapped up our summer with a fun show on August 20th at one of favorite venues, Savage’s Hill Country Bar. Check our Happenings page for updates or our Facebook page for Events and videos. Hope to see your smiling faces again real soon!

SPRING 2022: There’s nothing like Texas Hill County in the spring. Amazing weather and lots of outdoor music venues. 2022 is off and running! Our bookings have increased this year…yippee! And we’re having so much fun just playing and sharing our tunes at local places, like Roughhouse Brewing (pictured at right) and Savage’s Hill Country Bar. Please check out our Happenings page for updates or our Facebook page for Events and videos. Coming up, is a small, local festival where we love to play. We’re bringing some new tunes to our sets, including more original music. Stay sweet, stay tuned!

DECEMBER 2021: Hope you all had a wonderful, fun and prosperous 2021. We’re winding up the year and starting to book dates for 2022! So, please check out our Happenings page for updates or our Facebook page for more news. We’re making plans to get back in the studio too, and will hopefully have more new music for you by January 2022. In the meantime, if you haven’t yet, please take a listen to one of our original tunes we recently recorded: Compass. We’re looking forward to bringing more of our original music to you and seeing y’all real soon at one of our shows…Happy Holidays!

AUGUST 2021: We’ve been busy! And we gotta say; it feels great to be playing out and sharing our tunes again. Although, we’re staying on the safe-side and booking outdoor venues. Check out our Happenings page; we’ve got a couple of upcoming shows. We’ve also been back in the studio, and laid down tracks to one of our original tunes: Compass. Give a listen HERE We’re planning on recording more of our original music in the next month or so. Stay tuned! In the meantime, come on out to one of our shows. We’d love to see you! Looking forward to bringing our music to y’all this fall.

APRIL 2021: We're very grateful to have had an opportunity to share a set of our original tunes at this year’s Woodzie Festival. We kicked off the music at this local festival where, for obvious reasons, the event was changed to private, invite-only to be on the safe side. Everyone's trying to find a way back to "normal", put a toe-in-the-water to see how things go. Check out our Happenings page for upcoming shows; we’re looking forward to bringing the tunes and sharing more good times with you all. See you soon! (photo credits: Misty Toomey)

JANUARY 2021:
Here we are folks!     Our “band bubble” got together a few times around the campfire at the end of last year – weather permitting – and over this super-long break, we’ve been writing and working on new tunes too that we hope to share with you real soon in 2021.

Although many venues are still cautious, it appears things are already on the uptick for us.

The band had a great opportunity to record a video for an International Tribute to Townes Van Zandt (who passed on, on January 1, 1997), which aired January 1, 2021.   It was pretty cool and a great honor to be part of a Townes Tribute virtual streaming of live and pre-recorded performers and fans from Germany, Italy and the Netherlands to Texas and across the U.S.  You can check out our video of “Gone Too Long” (because it sure feels like it!) RIGHT HERE.   We hope you enjoy our band’s tribute to Townes.

April appears to be the month we’ll start kicking off some live music again – yeah! – with plans to play a small, local festival.   Check out our Happenings page for more information as it becomes available about upcoming events.  We’ve missed y’all!  We’re looking forward to seeing you again here in Hill Country. In the meantime, be sweet, stay safe, and stay tuned!

FALL 2020:
After we shook off some dust over Memorial Day weekend, the band got together outdoors the few more times we could to maintain physical distance, until it just got too blasted hot to do that. Hill Country Texas gets HOT in the summer. We’re happy to say, though, that we’ve cautiously approached rehearsals outdoors now that the weather is a bit cooler - and even better - we have an upcoming gig at a great, new indoor/outdoor venue: Savages! Check out our Happenings for November. We’ve heard great things about this venue and the folks who run it. So we’re looking forward to getting back at it - safely - and to once again, bring our brand of Hill Country Music to you all!

SPRING 2020:
The world has changed. And just like that, the gigs we’d hoped to be playing and sharing some of our new tunes with you are just not in the cards for us all right now.  We get it. And we’re trying to figure it all out too, folks, and what comes next.  From our weekly Zoom Happy Hours to random home videos, we’ve stayed connected, making plans and playing music in our separate spaces.  Yet, after nearly three months of no gigs or rehearsals, we FINALLY got together over Memorial Day weekend.   It felt great!  Check it out for yourselves.  We know there’ll be a future when we’ll all be together playing music, dancing in the sun and sharing our tunes with you all once again.  Until then, stay safe, smile a lot and know that music will get us through this.  See you soon!

WINTER 2020:
Woodshedding time! We hunkered down January-March to work on some new tunes - including a couple of original songs! We’ll be in the studio soon to record some of our new material and will be sharing that with you all on our website right here. The weather is warming up and folks have called us to book dates in April, May, June…we’re super-excited about that and ready to showcase our new songs. Check out our Happenings/Calendar We’re playing at a venue near you. See you soon!

DECEMBER 2019:
We wrapped up the year in Hill Country style at a private holiday party under the stars. Big crowd, great vibes, lots of dancing, and a giant bonfire warmed our hands and hearts. SEPTEMBER 2019:
We were back at Roughhouse Brewing on the 21st - such a great venue - thanks Alex! With a later time slot, we got to enjoy the evening hours at the Brewery’s excellent hang space. There was also some great local vendors selling their wares from coffee to jewelry at the Brewery’s mini-fall market. The sizeable crowd made for a fun day, and we hope everyone had a rockin’ good time! We took a short break for the rest of the month to work on some new music, which we’ll be rolling out at our upcoming shows.

AUGUST 2019:
Whew! Hill Country is super-hot in August, so we welcomed the opportunity to play indoors at the amazing 7A Opera House for supporters and staff of KWVH 94.1FM - Wimberley Valley Radio - at our local radio station’s annual celebration. Great crowd, free flowing margaritas, beer, conversation and fun! BIG THANKS to Susan Raybuck for thinking of us and board president, Mike Crusham for building a presence in our community. Thank you for your support! Speaking of, we’ll be the featured artist on Over Easy with Coach, November 13th, bright and early. So, hope you have a chance to check us out, live on the radio! JULY 2019:
July 27th - What a fun, afternoon show at Roughhouse Brewery! Great crowd to celebrate a new brew release. This is one of Hill Country’s newest, fun and relaxing places to hang out with friends and family; great on-site S. Baker Kitchen too! MANY THANKS to Alex, Davy and the Pasternak family, to our pal, Mike Leiblich on harmonica, who joined us on a tune, and to all our friends and fans for coming out to enjoy a cold brew, and to support live music!

July 6th - Our gig at the Longleaf was a lot of fun! A big THANK YOU to Rhett and Steve for the opportunity to play, plus all the goodies they provided, and a shout out to our fans for showing up and bringing the energy!

JUNE 2019: Studio time in April inspired us to write some new material. Stay tuned folks, we’ve got some exciting events, announcements and updates coming real soon! Stay cool, and thanks for supporting live music!

APRIL 2019: We’ve been in the studio! Recording is a lot like making sausage. You don’t really want to see what goes into it, but the end result is tasty! Stay tuned to the Music Page for more songs! A huge thank you to Billy Parks, not only for his soulful guitar playing, but being our oh-so-patient sound engineer.
